Simple Crispy Roasted Chickpeas
Snack time! Any time I crave something savory, I go for these simple crispy roasted chickpeas. They’re a great healthy alternative to chips!
- 540 ml canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed (approx. 1 can)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1 tsp paprika
- In a medium mixing bowl, add all of the ingredients and toss together with a spoon until the chickpeas are evenly coated with the oil and spices.
- Spread the chickpeas in the air-fryer basket and cook at 380F for 12 to 16 minutes, tossing halfway. Your cook time will depend on your preference for crispness and how powerful your air-fryer is. I prefer mine to be very crispy so I use the full 16 minutes.
- Spread the chickpeas out on a parchment lined baking sheet. Try to make sure the chickpeas are spread out and not touching – this will help them crisp up faster. Place them in a preheated oven at 400F, and roast for 30 to 40 minutes, tossing approximately every 10 minutes.
